This Complete Disc Brake Kit With Master Cylinder & Vacuum Booster is for 1947-1955 Chevrolet & GMC 1/2 Ton Trucks. Note: In 1955, used on 1st Series Only. This 6-lug disc brake kit contains all youll need to put modern discs on your stock 1/2 ton spindles, and keep your original pattern. The 1-1/4" thick, 12" rotor uses a GM full-floating caliper. The 8" single diaphragm booster master cylinder and proportioning valve mounts in the stock location. The kit uses tapered roller bearings and new forged hub with the hub upgrade kit. Standard kit uses original hubs. May not work with some stock wheels. Kit will work on 2 or 4 wheel disc brake systems. This kit is made for 1947-1955 (1st Series) 1/2 ton trucks. When used on 1947-1950 trucks may need to drill out lower spindle holes from 7/16" to 1/2". Frame mount brake boosters may require TR-93 transmission cross member. This is a 6-Lug Disc Brake Kit for 1947-1959 Chevrolet & GMC 1/2 Ton Trucks, Less Master Cylinder. Bolt pattern: 6 on 5-1/2" centers. The 6-lug disc brake kit contains all youll need to put modern discs on your stock 1/2 ton spindles, and uses your stock hub. The 1-1/4" thick, 12" rotor uses a GM full-floating caliper. . Notes: *Original 15 and 16 drum brake wheels will not work with this disc brake kit; must use "disc brake specific wheels. Verify fitment prior to installation. On some models (mostly 1947-48), the lower spindle holes will need to be drilled out from 7/16 to 1/2. If you are using the OE hubs, manufacturer strongly recommends the Roller Bearing Upgrade FS-216K. (It may be possible to clearance some 16 wheels, but we do not recommend modifying due to safety concerns.) Kit shown in photo is with optional upgrade drilled/slotted rotors at additional cost.
This is a 5-lug Disc Brake Conversion for 1947-1955 Chevrolet & GMC 1/2 Ton Trucks. Note: In 1955 used on 1st Series Only. The 5-lug disc brake kit not only upgrades your brakes, but swaps the factory 6-lug pattern to the common GM 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern. The kit is complete, bolts onto the stock spindle, and does not use stock hubs. Kit includes 1" thick 11" diameter rotors, tapered roller bearings, hoses, master cylinder, booster, and proportioning valve. 1947-50 trucks may need to drill out lower spindle hole from 7/16" to 1/2". Note: Both factory 6-lug and our 5-lug kit have 7/16" dia studs. May not work with manual transmission. Booster will not clear stock clutch linkage.

Frame mount booster kits bolt directly to where the original master cylinder was mounted. Some kits include the pedal and others utilize the original pedal. Kits include: booster and frame mount brackets, linkage to connect to the pedal, and master cylinder. Disc/drum and disc/disc kits also include proportioning valve and bracket assembly.
